Managing Growing Businesses

Growth is never by mere chance; it is the result of forces working together.

Managing Growing Businesses

Is your business ready for the next level? Experienced entrepreneurs will offer you feedback about your plan to improve your business model which could transform your business.

You will answer some of the following questions:
- Can you tweak your offering to improve your value proposition to your customer?
- Do you have the right market fit?
- Which channels will provide the biggest ROI?
- Have you prepared to add resources or new processes to scale?
- What innovations can you create or exist to evolve your business model and business?
- Is there a key area that can be modified, scaled or automated to improve your efficiencies and grow your business?
- Are you utilizing social media well?
- Should you be outsourcing any functions/processes in the business?
- Do you have the right mindset to scale your business?

Experiencing a period of rapid business growth can be an exhilarating time for your company. Revenue is increasing, profits are high, and you're making a name for yourself among your competitors. However, properly managing business growth and realizing the full benefits in a growth environment are not simple tasks.

Maintaining your high level of service and overall customer experience becomes harder to do as your company quickly grows. You'll work hard to get to scale, then the market changes, and it's now harder for you to shift with it. Being inconsistent with your service-level agreements (SLAs) as your business develops can have detrimental long-term effects on its success.

This course will first introduce you to the four-phase growth model. You will study different growth strategies as well as look into growth and management mistakes. You will also study the international market, examine the opportunities and problems associated with it, and overview international marketing plans. You will learn how to add to products and services and study different types of products such as durable goods, non-durable goods, controlled goods, and specialty products, to name a few. You will also look into the different methods of evaluating new products including laboratory tests, expert evaluations, and customer evaluations.

Having worked hard to create a business, many entrepreneurs and businesses find it a struggle to grow their company. Upon the completion of this course, you will have learned different growth strategies to help your business reach its full potential along with the key factors involved in international business. You will gain a knowledge of changes, transformations, strategies, and mistakes that continuously need to be considered when growing a business successfully. You will know the opportunities and problems that can occur in international marketing plans. This course will effectively teach you about innovation, products, globalisation and Hofstede's Five Cultural Dimensions.

Subjects covered include:
1. Growth through Scaling
2. Growth through Entry
3. Growth through Acquisition
4. Growth through Innovation
